Breeding Working English Shepherds

We are a small family farm in the mountains of Idaho producing high quality products that nourish the body while restoring the land.

We moved to Idaho with the dream to grow our own food, raise our children, and to hopefully one day make a living from the farm.

We left everything behind to chase our dream, family, friends, comfort, and the known. Moving to a bare piece of land with no home, no water, nothing. Slowly we have built the farm piece by piece. We are amazed with how far we have come and excited to see what we will accomplish in the future.

All of our animals spend the majority of their life on pasture

For the health of our animals and our land our animals spend most of their life on pasture or in the woods and we move our animals anywhere from everyday to once a week. This varies depending on the time of the year, the animal, and what we are trying to achieve on the land. For example if we are trying to till up our garden area, the pigs stay in one spot longer than if they are in an area we would like to stay in pasture.

We do not spray our fields or use any synthetic fertilizers. We do not use antibiotics and if we ever had to use antibiotics to save an animals life that animal would not be sold. All of our animals are fed free choice salt and a mineral mix and as stated above all of our animals are on pasture the majority of their lives.

OUR SHEEP AND MEAT GOATS: they are 100% grass fed

OUR DAIRY GOATS : receive a little bit of non gmo alfalfa and some locally grown barley and black oil sunflowers while milking and locally grown hay in the winter.

OUR PIGS AND CHICKENS: Are fed locally grown barley and peas, black oil sunflower seeds, milk and whey from our goats, and garden scraps. As well as whatever they find to eat in the pasture and woods.

ENGLISH SHEPHERDS

Caspian and Perl Expecting NOV. 23 2023

I expect these pups to be loving, affectionate dogs, that adore their family especially kids, to alert to strangers but to not be aggressive unless a member of their family is in danger. To have level heads, eager to please, smart, and have a strong desire to help with various tasks on the farm. To have a lot of natural herding instincts, and the drive and stamina to work all day if needed and to be happily content when their is no work to be done. Pups will be tri colored, black and white, and ghost tri. With the possibility to carry the clear sable gene, the dilute gene, and the recessive black gene.
